Hi everyone....
Hopefully an easy question for someone...
Is there are general website with obituary details for the UK for deaths since 2000?
In Australia we have the Ryerson Index so I am hoping there is something similar for the UK (specifically around Greater London)
Thanks
GMC

Nothing I am aware of :-\
Obituaries are only popular for personalities - and appear in National Newspapers like The Times.
Local papers may also carry death notices.

In case you mean death notices in newspapers, you could try www.iannounce.co.uk
but don't blame me if it doesn't have whom you're looking for!

As KG says, these days not many people put obituaries in newspapers, so you are unlikely to find anything I'm afraid.
Are you looking for the death of a particular person, or just wanting to know more about them?

I don't know about Australian usage, but in UK newspapers,"Obituary" nowadays tends to mean just an announcement of the death and maybe funeral arrangements, rather than the original meaning of a mini-biography which, as others have said, are now rare.
Another site you can try for announcements is http://www.familynotices24.co.uk which covers some local newspapers, including London.
