Has anybody visited the Graveyard at St James recently?
Curious to know what condition it's in, if indeed it still exists.

The church is Grade 2 listed:

An email to the church might answer your question re the graveyard:

I can't comment on the condition of the graveyard though looking at a few images online the area looks to be well cared for. It is likely that many of the headstones have been removed or laid flat as sadly is often the case these days.
If you are looking for someone in particular there may be transcriptions of stones available, as they are often transcribed prior to removal. There is plenty about the church online.

Thanks.
Their Website is quite informative. Just wondered if anyone had experienced the Graveyard before I contacted them.

Hi Eric
I've been to St James quite a few times and it is very well kept, lots of the gravestones have been removed though, although I'm not sure where to, but there are still lots visible. It's a beautiful old church and I've been on a tour around the church and graveyard. If you email them I'm sure they will be very helpfull, or if you're not near I'm willing to go down and have a look for you

I've been in touch with the the Parish Office and they were very helpful and managed to resolve my query.
Many thanks for your offer.
