Hello,
I am looking for any files relating to my 3x great-grandfather, James Westcott Harding. He was born in 1846, in Thorverton, Devon. He married Sarah Brown Wyatt, in 1867, in Frindsbury, Kent. He died in 1910, in Balham, Surrey. He was listed as a police officer on his wedding certificate. He served in the Metropolitan Police up until his retirement in 1893. I have tried to view the record on Ancestry, but I can only view the first page, where it says his name, his pension details etc. Can anyone help?
Thanks,
Adam

Can you not see the second page - 538 of 1012?
-
All I've been able to view is the first page, where it gives his name, rank, date of retirement and pension.
-
What happens if you type in 538 in the little box where it says 537?
-
I can't see any box, sorry.
-
I know all about his family, I'm just interested to see what else it says.
-
Is this the page you are after :-\

The box is at the bottom of the screen ;)

Can anyone send me a screenshot of the page? I did have it a while ago, but it keeps on going black for me. Might be the browser I'm using.

Hi
Why don't you contact the Met Police family history website, giving as much info as you can to see whether they can help. They suggested to me I also contact National Archives in Kew.
