Thank you Claire , its worth a thought . The first born to the marriage was at Brushford , Somerset  which makes me wonder about somewhere near Taunton ? although it said Devon .

Alan

Hi
There is also a locale (possibly a hamlet) called Kings Tamerton in the Parish or Township of St Budeaux.
This is now in Plymouth, just south of the Northward bulge of the A38, but an 1867-96 old map shows it as having been relatively isolated.

Thank you , you may well be onto something there . If I am on the right track they married in Stoke Damerel in 1831 so a distinct possibility .

Hi
You haven't given us any names, but Find My Past can provide online access to the Plymouth and West Devon Collection of parish registers, covering baptisms, marriages and burials from 1538 to 1911.
