Hi All,

Does anyone know whether it's possible to search New Zealand marriage indexes after 1956 and if so, where?

As far as I am aware it is still a case of having to trawl through the library microfiche, year by year by year...... ;D

OK thanks minniehaha, will do when I have a spare day.

Also, does the NZ Archives site just list some divorces in the country or all of them?

I'm trying to work out whether there was a divorce and re-marriage for a couple.

Hello Eliza...

I have some poorly scanned images of the marriage fiche which I can run through my computer if you want. Only takes a few moments so not a hassle. Unfortunately there's little guarantee that the computer can decipher the names on the images (but you never know :-)

Just PM me the names you're looking for if you want me to give it a go.
