Bit confused about which church this baptism may have taken place in ?
Any help most welcome - thank you !

Surely it will be the Parish Church?
So, that will be St James the Apostle
see: http://www.clwydfhs.org.uk/eglwysi/holywell.htm

Its not Bagillt,i have those to hand 1839-1911 so it will be St James Holywell.

#William Russell Jones.

The parish of Bagillt was created out of Holywell in 1844.
The parish of Brynford was created out of Holywell in 1854.
This marriage is dated 1840 - so pre-dating the splits ;D

Thank you - so that is the Anglican (not Catholic) Church !
Best wishes !

The format of the baptism you posted was that used by the Established Church.
These days called the Church in Wales, but Anglican none the less.

Just baffled me for a moment being next to the Catholic "Well" Chapel! ;D

I am not surprised at confusion for I cannot readilly think of another religious building which also shares its churchyard between Cathoics & Anglicans. This is a church that started as St. Winifred and became St. James in about 1769.

Thank you for clarifying - best wishes!
