Title: Searching for buriel records County Home Castlebar 1935
Post by: catherine k on Friday 08 September 17 21:47 BST (UK)
Hi Can
Anyone help me where I can find the burial records for people who died and were buried at the County Home Castle bar .as I trying to find a relative who is 83 who's mother died at the County Home he has her death certificate however no burial record which I find very strange .the Home as far as I know was for the mentally ill and was run by the Nuns .who took care of them I would be very grateful if anyone has any information as my relative would be able to pay his respects and visits his mothers grave as she died when he was a few months old his mother death certificate says she died of pneumonia age 20 she was married however as far as we we know her husband left the funeral arrangements with the nuns as we can't find her Grave in her hometown
Kind Regards
Catherine K

I was just about to post the same link so instead I think this is the Old Cemetery
https://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=vcsr&GSvcid=79628

but if the County Homes reburials were even marked is quite another question
