If they married in Scotland perhaps the research should be done on a Scottish board or do you think they came south?

I know Ellen's (hellen) family history on paternal side just trying to find out more about her and William
They married in Glasgow 1927
She was 18 by 1930 I have her death record ... no idea if they had any children or who he was I cannot find any birth record for him there are 2 possible death records but I just have a gut feeling neither are him.. did he move away back to where he had come from? Did he re marry are there any of his descendants around if they had children if so they will be my grandads cousins and I'm sure he would love to know

Have you tried www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk, it is a subscription site but it might help
If you have their marriage cert it will show a lot of information, more than we get on English certs so it should list his father if not both parents to trace him
Can't find anything listed on Ancestry , her maiden name is unusual so I would have thought it easy to trace births with her maiden name

William Robert Duck to Ellen Lavelle Steensohn
William's parents are Andrew and Sophia Duck and William's occupation is Seaman and he is 23 years old. Date: 23rd February 1927.

Thanks iv tried doing the free search will need to pay for the marriage certificate to see more her family was easy with the surname and the fact there Norwegian and I managed to access everything free ! Right back to 1550! Full family lines in all directions 😁 Why don't we have that lol just put it on really to see if there was anyone who thought god I'm related to them ha there not direct Ellen is my mothers great Aunty just interested in the fact she died 3 years after her wedding at 21 years old and my grandad had never heard of her until I found her record

There is a death for a William R Duck 1967 Barrow in Furness age 63 birth year about 1904 might be a possibility

Think Andrew may have died 1912 in Hillhead, Glasgow age 41
Albert Morrison Duck married in Glasgow in 1933 and died there in 1970 age 63.
John Andrew Duck born 1901 in Ulverston, Lancashire ( on freeBMD but can't see it on GRO index).
1911 census also shows a Lucy age 6 but can't see an obvious match on FreeBMD or Scotlandspeople

Again thank you all so much ! It's all tying together now but can anyone see any possible children for William and Helen, it's really if she had any kids that's the big question as they might be still living !

What was the cause of death on Helen's death certificate ...You can have a look on Scotlands People for births Duck 1927=1930 to see if any names are familiar ..Theses births can only be viewed at a Scotlands People search room ..
