Hi,
I'm trying to locate where House St & Tennant St (definitely not the one in Renfrew) were in Paisley.
Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Since you didn't provide a date, I looked at the 1900 Street Guide in the Paisley Directory and neither are listed.

I've randomly looked through The Paisley Directories between 1829 -1912, no sign of either of the streets showing up in the town. I'm originally from Paisley, don't ever recall a House or Tennant St.!
May I ask where you got the street names from?

A quick search on VRs for Tennant Street give Renfrew (still there today), Glasgow, Old Monkland & Leith.
There's only a 3-4 miles distance between Renfrew & Paisley which may indicate it's the same place & your info. may be slightly off simply because both would show as Renfrewshire?
Paisley & Glasgow aren't too far apart either, approx. 13 miles i.e. could it have been Glasgow?

hi,
ive just rechecked the entry and its actually Tennant Road which I believe is somewhere in Ferguslie,
-
Tennant Road certainly existed in Ferguslie Park. It ran from Falcon Crescent to Bankfoot Road
Although it no longer exists you can see its approximate location by finding Crawfurd Drive on a modern map and Tennant Road was just north of this running parallel
I don’t know of any House Street or Road nearby or in Paisley - Ive also checked the Renaming and renumbering directory for Paisley (1923) but there is no listing for such a street.
