I just had a death certificate for my 4th great grandfather john semmens 78yrs old 1861 st buryan. on the certificate there was a grace semmens present at his death. on the 1861 census RG9 PIECE 1599 FOLIO 11 PAGE 14 there is a grace  living with john semmens down as daughter age 38 charwomen born st buryan. I can't find any other information about grace.

Thanks everyone still can't find a baptism for grace. I think grace's parents were john semmens and jane Davey married 11th feb 1809 paul and I think jane died in st buryan late 1847 early 1848.

Not finding much on Cornwall OPC, but there is a bapt in area of St Buryan for an Elizabeth around 1827 parents John/Mary.

Possible for Jane 1824 on freereg spelt Simmons, of Churchtown parents John/Mary.

Bapts on freereg of Graces twins spelt Semmons in 1845, single woman, baseborn children

There is a baptism for Alice simmons 28 apr 1822 st buryan daughter of john and jane could this be grace roughly the same birth age

Called Grace in 1851/61/71 also on her children's bapts in 1845 think unlikely she is named Alice, have you tried looking forward for Alice?

If you think Alice who died Australia is her, then her death age gives her a birth year of 1812.
