Title: Identification of Sailing Ship
Post by: Hibee on Wednesday 20 September 17 09:29 BST (UK)
Hi

Can anyone identify the large vessel?  Probably Firth of Forth, maybe 1920s.

Thanks.

Possibly Hms Victoria, the largest wooden warship ever built according to wiki.

I think this has to be HMS Victory.

Thanks.  HMS Victory is a distinct possibility (which would date the photo to 1922 or earlier).

It would also rule out the Firth of Forth.

Mystery solved.  It's HMS Royal Albert, in the Firth of Forth.
