Title: Blairgowrie Address
Post by: Kevin Malley on Monday 25 September 17 22:34 BST (UK)
Hi Folks,
Not sure what this address is, I want to say Browns Place or maybe Morris Place. However these streets dont seem to exist in Blairgowrie. Any help would be much appreciated.
Regards Kevin

Looks very like Browns Place but if not there doesn't seem to be an 'i' as they are consistently dotted  :-\

You would need to look at an old street map.

I know where Brown Street is but whether it was Browns Place in the past I wouldn't know & likewise I can't find any ref. to it.

Just realised which board this is on & may be best on this board?...

There are some very good decipherers on there!

You would need to ask a Mod to move it?

Hi ,

FreeCEN has a Browns Place Blairgowrie on the 1851 Census transcription.

Going by the addresses on the 1851 Census this could be it -

Good find Ev!

I'm hopeless with Maps & only venture there occasionally (if forced) which isn't often enough or I would learn more  :D

Wouldn't have found it without the next/last household search on FreeCen......... nowhere near Brown Street.
