I am looking for the parents of Charles Curtis who I believe in Barnstaple workhouse age 8 in 1861 census I have found him as a sailor in 1881 He died in 1912 in Swansea. Any help will be appreciated

Hi and welcome from me there is a Charles Curtis born Barnstaple Union 1854 mother's maiden Name Southwood on the Gro index
Did he marry a Mary Louisa Thomas if so
Tree on An.......y has his father as William Curtis mother Mary Southwood

This could be a possibility 1861 Census Civil Parish Landkey District Barnstaple
William Curtis age 58
Mary Curtis age 50
Charles age 7
Mary Curtis age 21 dressmaker ( Gro  record  1839 mother maiden name Southwood )
