Hello,
If anyone has access to 1881 and 1891 census returns for Gloucester I would be really grateful you could let me have details for John Turk born circa 1842 in Gloucester and his wife Mary Turk born circa 1843 in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire. Many thanks

Thank you KGarrad. I am fairly new to family research and didn't realise that there are so many places to look for information. Thank you so much

Just done a search with GRO death index. It appears that three of the children died in December Quarter 1870 - Frank aged 1, Caroline aged 3 and Frederick aged 5 - hence them not appearing on the 1871 census. So very sad for the family to lose three young children so quickly
Thanks again for your help. Now need to see if there are any parish records of their burials

Mary Tuck, 28, Wife, Mar, born Stoulton, Gloucestershire
Hannah Tuck, 10, Daug, Scholar, born Gloucestershire
Next door is;
Robert Turk, 67, Bootmaker
Caroline, 62
William, Son, Widr, Sawyer
William, 4, Grandson
Possible Parents for John.
John/Mary married 1863 so Hannah was Marys Daug;

As the M/C of John/Mary does not appear to be on-line anywhere you may have to get it to confirm their Fathers names/occp's.
In the meantime here are Johns possible Parents on 1861 Census;
1861 Census
Robert Tink, 50, Head, Mar, Gardener, born Maisemore
Caroline Tink, 52, Wife, Mar, born Barton, St Mary
William Tink, 16, Son, Wood Sawyer
Robert Tink, 12, Son, Errand Boy
Fanny Tink, 10, Daug, Scholar
Ann A Tink, 8, Daug, Scholar
And your John Turk may have not been born as Turk.
1851 Census
Robert Turk, 40, Gardener/Jouneyman
Caroline Turk, 40
Charles Williams, 14
JOHN Williams, 12
Hannah Williams, 8
William Williams, 7
Robert Williams, 2
Fanny Turk, 1
Only Fanny age 1 is their Daug, all other Williams Children are down as Daug in Law/Son in Law, which means Roberts Step Children.
Anc has the MARRIAGE;
25 Dec 1848
Marriage Place: Gloucester, St Mark, Gloucestershire, England
Robert TURK, Full Age, Bachelor, Gardener, Father ROBERT Turk, Labourer
Caroline WILLIAMS, Full Age, Spinster, Father JOSEPH Williams, Blackksmith
Bride/Groom, made their mark
Witnesses were James Williams and Albina Barton (James signed)
1841 we have;
Caroline William 30
Joseph William 11
James William 9

I also think this may be Mary Rodway;
1861 Census
Stonehouse, Glous
John Bodway, 51, Head, Mar, Gen Labourer, born Haresfield
Alice Bodway, 58, Wife, Mar, born Stonehouse
MARY Bodway, 18, Daug, born Stonehouse
Anne A Bodway, 1mth, Granddaughter
Anna A looks like she is Hannah Abia Rodway
1851 Marys Mother is Abiah which fits with Hannahs second name;
John Rodway 47
Abiah Rodway 46
Ham Rodway 15
Mary Rodway 9***
1871 we have;
John Rodway 60
Abia Rodway 67
RODWAY, MARY, Mothers mn OWEN **
GRO Reference: 1843 M Quarter in STROUD Volume 11 Page 486
Marriage on Familysearch;
9 June 1829, Stonehouse, Gloucester
John RODWAY to Abia OWEN
