Title: Translation German to English- Czech Repubic Marriage 1917
Post by: LUV on Saturday 07 October 17 15:58 BST (UK)
Hi All

I have a marriage entry from the Czech Republic Church Books available online.
The Marriage is in 1917 in Karbitz (Parish of Chabařovice)
I have attached a screen shot.

I am unable to make out the spelling of the Bride's name whatsoever :-\
Her first and last name I simply cannot decipher....
I need her name to then look for her baptism.
Anybody able to figure it out?

If possible I would love the pertinent info that is on the certificate as frankly I am having a hard time reading the names.
Father and mother of the groom and where they are from
Father and mother of the bride and where they are from

Thanks all

A HUGE, HUGE THANKS Dave!  ;D ;D

It is who I thought .... I could not for sure make out the "Selma"  but thought I had it!!!  All I knew was that Ernst married a Selma so when I found this I was thinking I had it but needed to be sure of the first and could not make out the last name or places.

YEAH...

I appreciate the hand

Hi Luv,

Stroppe Selma (Quaiser b. 31.10.1891) lived in Aussig-Karbitz, Rathausgasse 355 and after 1945 in Braunschweig.

http://www.heimatfreunde-aussig.de/elbhafen/elb%20stro.htm
http://www.heimatfreunde-aussig.de/elbxx1930.htm

There is also Ernst on the list, but with a different address after 1945. He died 3.10.1947 55 years old, could also be the correct Ernst.

Regards Peonie

thanks Peonie  :)
Yes, Ernst was born 1892 so the one who died 1947 age 55 is more than likely him.

Peonie what source is this record?
Wondering as they had two daughters Lydia b. abt 1920 and Erna b. 1921.  I know Erna came to Canada in about 1949 alone.

Hi Luv

Erna is on the list, with her married name, address in Aussig and then Canada.

http://www.heimatfreunde-aussig.de/elbhafen/elb%20al.htm

After the war former citizen of Aussig started a registered society and reconstructed the list of former inhabitants with old and new addresses. It states the lists are only to be used for family research.

Hope this helps, regards Peonie

Thank you Peonie.
Great resource :D

I had noticed that on the initial link Ernst, as you said, was found at a different address than Selma?  But, when I started to explore I found that at the same address as Ernst was Selma's mother -Theresia Kliem (Quaiser)  so I suspect the address were  Selma was maybe it was her other daughter or a hospital or some such?

Thank you Peonie

Yeah!  ;D and fantastic

This is a death notice of sorts correct? From what publication?
Anyways, this is a Fantastic find Peonie as it gives Erna's sister Lydia's husband too.

Moreover it proves or rather makes the link that I have been following the correct set of Selma & Ernst for Erna who came to Canada.  As Erna's death only mentioned parents "Selma & Ernst" and older sister "Lydia".

I could not find a birth/baptism as she was born 1921 and surmise privacy for the documents there? And her marriage here was  in the 1950's so we are dealing with privacy of information.

Thank you

Hi LUV,

The Death Notice is in the Aussiger Bote, a small magazine from the same society as the address lists.

I think there might be something more for Lydia's family, but it is well my bedtime, so I'll   have another look tomorrow.

Regards Peonie
