Title: Louisa Augusta Pound

Hello! :)

Can anyone help? I am trying to find out what happened to Louisa Augusta Pound my 2x great aunt.

Louisa was born in 1870 in Dartmouth to William Henry Pound & Louisa Dennis. She appears in the 1871 and 1881 census with her family but after that disappears? I thought maybe she was married but i cannot find any matching certificates nor death? Can anyone help? Maybe i'm overlooking something?

Looks as if Father William shown as age 32 on 1881 died in 1885 Totnes aged 36, do you think mother Louisa might have married and all under a different name on following census, just a thought

She did remarry to a William Wright. I did search to see if she used his surname but no joy  ???

Long shot on Free BmD site  ???

Working on the fact that if dad William dead in Totnes than maybe that is where they were living. Does mean she would only have been 16 if DoB 1870:

Edit: Just a thought maybe this is Mum remarrying. 5yrs after William died ???

I have just found that marriage, if so what happened to the children, she had at least 6

This is actually the marriage for her mother, Louisa Pound to William John Wright.

Louisa Maud

They all stayed in Dartmouth apart from the youngest, Thomas who's death is registered in Newton Abbot so he most likely moved a couple of miles away.

check out
RG12/1710 FOLIO124 PAGE29

Wright and Pound all living together  but William shown as WID, so Louisa died by 1891, he has the step children Pound living with him

Yes i have access. I actually have this census saved.. he does have the children with him but Louisa is not there.

Assumed death  1890 Totnes, no signs of her daughter Louisa Augusta so far

She died in January 1890 in Dartmouth
