Title: Mary of Mercy, Eastbourne
Post by: Tony Freeman on Tuesday 10 October 17 19:03 BST (UK)
I located a Roman Catholic baptismal record in Miltown Malby, Co Clare, Ireland making reference to the wedding of the individual.
The wedding was recorded as being at "Mary of Mercy, Eastbourne, Sussex".

I have not been able to locate the church of this name.
However, there appears to be an order called Blessed Mary of Mercy and they seem to be connected to the Church of Our Lady Of Ransom in Eastbourne.

Can anyone pleased advise whether this is the correct church referred to in the Baptismal Record.

All help appreciated.

Good evening,

That is a possibility, it replaced the older Stella Maris RC church demolished 1899. It stood where the Arndale centre is now.
