Looking for death of Jane (jean) Strachan, born Rae. She was born 1816 and married William Strachan and they lived at Strachan Corner in Puslinch Township. William died Puslinch 1888 but according to the 1861 census he was a widower.

Hi Sandra
Yes I had seen the link to the book, but thank you.

I was wondering if you had looked at this website? There are apparently records for a William and a Jane Strachan in the same area of Woodlawn Cemetery in Guelph. The contributing organization should be able to help or perhaps the cemetery itself.

Since there is a 5 year old daughter in the 1861 census there is a rather narrow time frame for the death occurrence.

Likely Woodlawn if not;
https://www.cambridge.ca/en/learn-about/Archives-and-Genealogy.aspx as they have tons of records pre 1900 and most burial books for Puslinch/Waterloo and even Brant.
