Title: STANFORD ON SOAR marriage 1763 - Witnesses

IOn 30 May 1763 at Stanford on Soar, Nottinghamshire, William Wight, of Aston-on-Trent, co. Derby, married Elizabeth Boatham.

I would like to know who the witnesses were and also what Elizabeth Boatham's parish was and if they married by banns or licence.

If anyone please has access to these records I would be so grateful if you could have a look.

I suspect that Elizabeth Boatham is the Elizabeth Botham baptised in Aston on Trent in 1744, but need some more links to prove the connection.

Hi Jon,

I have had a look at the above marriage and witnesses were John Dexter and William Cocks or Corks (cannot make out if it's a c or r). Also it looks like Elizabeth signed her name Botham it's a bit hard to make out but cannot see a A in the signature.

I have a copy of the banns and marriage so if you would like them please pm me your email address and I'll send them to you.
