Has anyone ever done online research in the Canary Islands? I did a Google search and ended up at the Family Search website. I see that there are some Spanish records that you can browse through which I'm sure will be a job in itself :o ::) :P
That's okay I'm willing to do it but it's by parish. Does anyone know what parish would be associated with the Canary Islands ??? I'm looking for a marriage and a death between say 1950 and 1995ish.
Thank you

I'll have a go, but not from any specialised knowledge. Do you know which island? There might be just one parish on the smaller islands. Googling finds that there is a Canarias diocese, but this only includes the eastern islands, there is a separate diocese for Tenerife. Googling "Parroquias Canarias" gives a number of parishes and a map which proves to be of Gran Canaria, but changing that to Tenerife or Lanzarote gives different lists.

Hi Chris
Not sure which island. I Googled and got the list you mentioned. Then I took another look at the records that I found and they aren't what I need. Also the person I'm trying to help has decided to go another route. So I'll wait and see what happens.
Thank you for your help.
