Hi
I was hoping that someone could help me by tidying the white marks 'scratches' on this photo.
Andrew Brown was on of the first settlers in this area of New South Wales over the Blue Mountains.
Like many of the early settlers he was a philanthropist, and among other things he did, he started a school for the railway workers children in 1867. That school now known as Cooerwull Public School (named after Andrew's House) is this year celebrating 150th birthday and as a part of the celebrations we hope present the school with a framed photo of Andrew's Family.
Thank you
Jan
PS Cooerwull is a small blue flower

Don't know what is going on - my computer says it is 256 Kbs RC is saying it is bigger than 500 Kbs. Does this often. Wish I knew why!!

I really couldn't work out what was going on with old mate's left ear, until I came across this pic that made me realise it really was there:
Cheers, Peter.

I'm a bit rusty but couldn't resist when I saw it this morning :)

..and one that uses an 'old style camera' effect ;D

Beautifully true to original Gadget. I see you haven't lost your touch. ;)

Thanks, Wiggy :)
I decided that I needed a quiet time after an odd few days, so found this lovely image to restore.
-
A decent scan makes so much difference doesn't it. Makes it worth the effort.
-
Yes - it does, Sadly, there aren't as many these days. I recall some lovely images and scans in days gone by. We all had a lovely time :)
-
I hope the Original Poster can use one of these several restores for her purpose. :)

Hi
Thanks to everyone. They all look great and I will show them to my friend so we can choose which one to present to the school.
I hadn't noticed the strange hair style behind Andrew's ear. The resulting 'head shot' of Andrew looks good. I will also pass them on to his descendant (not sure exact relationship) who still lives in his house - one of the first sandstone houses in the area.
Again thanks - I am so impressed with everyone's skills.

Glad you can use one of them. :)

That's right, Wiggy.
Edit: Whoops, got caught between comments here.
Jan, it's just a random fellow I found with a similar hairline. Does look like Andrew though, doesn't he. :D
Cheers, Peter.

I must say I thought he was Andrew - maybe a previouly unknown relative! or at least he used the same barber.
