Hi
Could some kind person do a lookup for me please for a baptism on 19/11/732 for a Matthew Biddle son of Matthew Biddle and Sarah. They had 3 other children baptised in Gloucestershire and I am trying to find proof that thus is is the missing link I am looking for. The date is right and all the names are right.
Many thanks
David ;

Unfortunately, Ancestry have missed a page or two in their filming. There are no baptisms showing between 7 November 1732 and 1 December 1732.

Hi Bookbox
Thanks for your reply, I will just have to hope that one of the other sites have that page.
Kiobd Regards
David ;)

I'm afraid they won't have the image, only a transcript. LMA's partnership is with Ancestry.

Hi Bookbox
Would I be able to acceess it by going to LMA
Kind Regards

Provided the actual register is complete and the error is Ancestry’s, I think you have 3 options:
(1) Visit LMA and view their film (or get someone to go on your behalf) – remembering that LMA’s annual 2-week closure starts after 2 November.
(2) Visit a LDS Family History Center (or affiliate library) and view the LDS film instead.
(3) Ask LMA to supply a printout of the entry from their microfilm (£8.75) – see the very bottom of this page - https://www.cityoflondon.gov.uk/things-to-do/london-metropolitan-archives/visitor-information/Pages/microfilming.aspx.
Bear in mind there isn't much extra information in this register, other than the street names. What are you hoping to find?

Hi
I am hoping to find that they were visiting from Wooton under Edge in Gloucestrshire, The Biddles were lawyers so they may have been in London when Matthew was born.
Kind Regards
David

It’s hard to know if you’d find that information in this particular register. A quick look at entries in adjacent pages shows mainly street addresses (in or near Holborn), and an occasional date of birth. So if they were visiting from Gloucestershire you might just get the London address where they were staying at the time. A bit of a gamble.

Hi Bookbox
Worth taking I will pop up to LMa and SOG next week and have a look.
Kind Regards

I looked at the pages either side and there will most probably be no more info there to prove whether this is the family you seek.
The other entries have the child and parents names and a street location but no number or father's occupation.
You can view the LMA's copy of the microfilm at the LMA.
Unfortunately, according to their catalogue, looking at the original register is not an option.
The catalogue number is P82/AND/A/001/MS06667/009
You might even find that the original page wasn't actually scanned when the register was filmed in which case you may have a good reason to ask for someone to look at the original.
If you can't get to the LMA and have an LDS family history centre nearby you can view the images they have there
https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/78851?availability=Family%20History%20Library
The LDS films have been removed from Kew to the SOG now.
