Hello trying to work out a marriage and death record. John Collins Vetters my 3rd great uncle. I think it says suicide :-/ But more interested in his father, which I am sure is mentioned on both, as have struggled to find until now. Also his mothers maiden name. I always thought it was Vetters and there was no father around, but after a few guesses and pot lucking buying a few records on Scotland's people I have find these two records which matches him for sure.
Any help with it all please, I believe it is Margaret Richardson he married, can't work out any other names or her daughters who reported his death.
It isn't letting me upload the photos, will try below.
Thanks

It looks like only a mother's name is given, which I read as "Isabella Ewing Burns Vetters" (occupation "Printfield Worker"). Unless it's two names ... Isabella Ewing and Burns Vetters. But I assumed it was one long name because the other set of parents on the marriage certificate are separated by an "and".

The Thomson comes from Isabellas Mother.
The second name may be Colin, not Collins as the name christian name Colin in in the Family.
-
Familysearch has a submitted record of Archibalds marriage to Mary THOMPSON as 9 November 1829
in Argyll.
( I cant check this but you maybe can on Scotlandspeople.)

Hi Kat101,
Welcome to Rootschat.
This is not my Family at all but thanks for the offer of help.
The original query was posted by Taylor111 who I presume is related to this Family.
I was just trying to help this person.
Trish :)

Oh I see :) I am struggling a bit following things (not always the fastest learner) :)

Dont worry. I struggled too when I first used Rootschat researching my Tree. After I finished mine I started helping others.
