An Adam Milne whose details match (MMN May) died in Peterhead in 1984 aged 96,
and George Milne (MMN May) died in Peterhead in 1976 aged 83.
Perhaps George returned to Peterhead from Detroit?

Hi again Rosie
Thanks for your info, now trying to find Adam dob & parents searched Scotland people & Genes Reunited but cannot find him at all, I know that I am being abit of a pain and would understand if you are not able to help.
Thanks again Brian

If you have a look at the 1856 married registration of Adam Milne and Christian Bruce, that should name the parents of both parties. You'll also find Adam's age at the time he married, which should help with tracking down a date of birth.

Hi Brian if you get a copy of the marriage certificate for Adam Milne 1856 on Scotland's People it Will give you his parents names ..Which will help in finding his birth
Rosie

Christian Milne (nee Bruce) is shown as a widow in the 1871 census, but as married in 1861, so it looks like Adam Milne must have died some time between 1861 and 1871. I can't see any obvious death of Scotland's People, but given he was a seaman, it's reasonable to suppose he died at sea.
I think the marriage registration is your best bet to track down his parents.

Just to recap on the family born to Christian Bruce and Adam Milne
John William Bruce Milne 25 May 1857 Peterhead
Jean Milne 21 July 1859 Peterhead
Thomas Bruce Milne 18 June 1861 Peterhead
Adam Milne 2 May 1864 Peterhead died 1865 Peterhead ( mother's maiden name Bruce )
Margaret Burr Milne 25 March 1867 Peterhead died 1887 Peterhead
Seen the death certificate for Christian Milne /Bruce she died 28 July 1905 widow of Adam Milne seaman ...So quite possible Adam died at sea
