Hi all,

I have William Stob(b)ie c.1809, Greenlaw, Berwickshire, married to Margaret Aitchison.

I would like to find out more about William's parents and siblings, if possible.  In 1851, he was a Master Tailor, if that is any help at all.

Did he die post 1855?  If so - downloading a copy of his death cert from SP will give his parents names and mothers maiden name

William Stobo 17/4/1807 son of Thomas Stobo and Isabel Bean(Bone ) at Greenlaw

other children Isabel 29/6/1783,Janet 25/4/1785,Mary 5/4/1787,Walter 2/7/1789,Agnes 1/7/1791,Betty 7/7/1794 Thomas 2/7/1796,Margaret 8/10/1798, ,Anne 5/8/1802,John 18/4/1805

Marriage 4/4/1781 on family trees but I can't confirm that elsewhere.

Isabel Bain age 80 buried Greenlaw 12/3/1840 d of Jaffrey and G Bain
Thomas buried 31/3/1849 (but no age given) so should be on 1841 census
