Have you checked the original of her birth certificate to see if the J could be a transcription error?
There is a marriage of Peter McKelvie to Margaret Telfor* Chrystal in Stirling in 1907.

Agnes Kerr Crystal was the daughter of John and Agnes Crystal, she was the informant on her dads death certificate under the name of Agnes Parklin and she was married to Henry Parklin.

Margaret Telford Crystal married widower Peter Telford in 1907 and they had a daughter in 1907 Elizabeth Mary Telford who married Michael Collins in 1924, hope this helps.
