My Aunt Olga Roma Minchella (born 1930 in Scotland) married Liberato Nigro (born 1924 in Philadelphia) around 1954 in Philadelphia but I can't find any marriage record for them. I realise they might have married elsewhere but have searched worldwide on Ancestry and nothing turns up. Does anyone have any idea why I cannot find a record please?

The only comprehensive source I know for Philadelphia marriages online is here - https://www.familysearch.org/search/collection/1388247 - but it only goes up to 1951.

I know that Olga definitely married after 1952 as that's when she emigrated from Scotland to the USA.

No, I do not subscribe to Newspaper com or any other any pay sites.

So how did you gain access to the obituaries?
I was also looking for my Great Aunt Maria Concetta Benedetto died 1980 in Philadelphia. She was born Maria Concetta Divito, married my Great Uncle Luigi Minchella, was widowed and married again to a Nick Benedetto. Trouble with searching for her is that she uses different variations of her name, one time she was Maria Concetta Minchella Benedetto, sometimes Concetta Minchella, other times Maria C. Divito Minchella Benedetto (on her gravestone).

I see Nick's first wife Mary (nee D'Agostino) died 30 June 1956.

I see Olga and Maria were at the same address (2019 Mifflin St.) in 1956. It apeears Nick & Maria also married in 1956.
