Thank you Hallmark,

It's perhaps Henry MAC FARLAND born in 1808, dead in 1881 at Belfast, because Henry MAC FARLAND was married in 1853 at Aughnamullen with Anne Mac MULLEN, so I suppose they have other childrens between 1853 and 1866 but where ?

I don't know Henry MAC FARLANE was pensionar in the Ireland Army, it'as an interesting information because his son Edward John became Lieutenant-colonel.

In which regiment was Henry MAC FARLANE ?

Do you know if they had a daughter Jane born England 1855 if so she may have got married age 20 from Seapoint Terrace,Ringsend,Dublin, father Henry a pensioner in 1875 a witness was Lizzie (Elizabeth McFarlane)
She married Sidney Churchill a soldier later a coachman from Rosturke, Newport,Mayo.

Thank you Dathai,

It's an interesting pist. If Henry was in the army, he has probably moved alot. He can have a daughter Jane in England in 1855 because Heny and Ann Mc MULLEN married in 1853.
Perhaps, we can find a census with Henry Ann and their children ?

Thak you Dathai,

On Family Search i have discovered Jane Mac Farlane, born on 18th march 1855 at Berwick upon Tweed (Northumberland), daughther of Henry and Ann. So, it's very probably the good Henry !

I don't think the Henry McFarlane died 1881 is the one you are looking for unless your Henry MacFarlane became a farmer in later life-

Letters of Administration of the personal estate of Henry M'Farlane late of Ballyentogue County Antrim Farmer deceased who died 22 October 1881 at same place were granted at Belfast to Alexander M'Farlane of Ballyentogue Farmer a Child.

Ballyutogue townland is west of Belfast city-

'Letters of Administration' means he didn't leave a Will and any paperwork concerning his property does not survive.

Not sure where to post this as you have a few MacFarlane threads but here's what I found/has been found so far (by no means complete)-

Henry MacFarlane m.(18 Oct.1853 Aughamullen) Anne McMullen.
1875- daughter Jane's marriage gives this as her residence: 11 Seapoint Terrace, Ringsend, Dublin. If her father Henry was alive and this is where the family lived there is a possible death in 1877 for Henry (eventually the image will be on Irish Genealogy site)
1. Jane MacFarlane (18 Mar.1855 Berwick upon Tweed, Northumberland, England) m.(1875 Dublin) Sidney Churchill (d.bef.1891)
2. Robert Henry MacFarlane (1859 Portsmouth, Hampshire-1887)

Just came across a Henry John J. MacFarlane (age 15) death registered Oct./Dec.1880 quarter in Portsea district. Perhaps a co-incidence but might be worth keeping making a note of the record.

Hi aghadowey,

All your informations concord with my informations. thanky you very much.
Could you say me what say the certificate of death of Henry Mac Farlane in 1877 in Ireland ?

The 1877 death certificate for a Henry MacFarlane is not yet online. Eventually it will be on Irish Genealogy website (keep checking to see when it is added) or if you don't want to wait it can be viewed on GRONI's website for a few credits-
https://geni.nidirect.gov.uk/

However, Irish death registrations contain little information and it's not always possible to be sure you have the correct record. What will be on the record is-
date and place of death
name
sex (male or female)
marital status (single, married, widowed, divorced)
residence (if different from place of death)
cause of death (sometimes how long illness had lasted and certified (by a doctor) or 'no medical attendant' (doctor had not seen deceased before death)
informant (name, address and sometimes relationship or if not related then 'present at death')
date of registration and name of registrar

Hello,

I have received the certificate of marriage of Henry Mac FARLAND and Anne Mc MULLEN, on 18th october 1853 at Aughnamullen.
I have got several questions
1) The husband is "pensionnar" (from the Army ?)at Aughnamullen. So, i suppose he is old (perhaps widower ? He is declared Bachelor in the certificate ?). He is the son of Henry Mc Farland, pensionner. It is curious because at the birth of his son Robert Henry Mcfarlane on 15 Jan 1859 at Portsmouth, Henry is Corporal of B--d 4th Royal Ler? In all the other certificates between 1866 and 1872, he was pensionnar too.

2) The bride was Anne Mc MULLEN from Aughnamullen, widow, daughter of Robert Mc MULLEN. I suppose  it's Anne Mc MULLEN, daughter of Robert, born in 1819, married first to Samuel Mc COY (Kinkinnolay), on 16th july 1849.

Thank you to confirm me these informations.

Pensioner just means that the person was getting a pension but doesn't give any indication of age.

Hello,

To know the age and the origins of Henry Mc Farland, we should be consult the census of England or Ireland (1861, 1871, 1881). Who can help me for that ? Henry is pensionner or soldier and he was married with Ann and they have six children : Jane (1855), robert Henry (1859), Elizabeth (?), Mary Ann (1866), Edward John (1868), Lucy Helena (1872)

The McFarlands were in England from 1855-1859 (1861 English census might locate them), Athlone (Ireland) 1868-1872 (the first complete census for Ireland is 1901 so you won't get them in 1871, etc.).

You can search 1901 and 1911 Irish census (free)-

See Family Search for English census and other records-

In the census of  England and Wales of 1861, I see that Jane Mac Farlane (born at Berwick-upon-Tweed), live with his grandfather James Mac Farlane (born in Scotland in 1803) and Jane (born in 1799) but I think it isn't the same persone than Jane Mac Farlane born in 1855 at Berwick upon Tweed, daughter of Henry and Anne Mc Mullen , because it isn't the same age
