Title: Elizabeth DYER
Post by: garlands on Friday 10 November 17 12:30 GMT (UK)
Elizabeth DYER m William BENNETT on 30 Sep 1747 in Stoke Damerel.

I believe that Elizabeth was born in Cornwall. I have found several baptisms of an Elizabeth DYER between 1720 and 1730 which might fit the bill, and eliminated all except:-

03 Jun 1727 in Fowey of Elizabeth to John DYER & Jane

Does anyone know anything about this lady, or indeed any other Elizabeth who might have crossed the border to get married?

Thank you

Thanks for that.

I thought Fowey was a bit improbable, but she was the only one unaccounted for. I haven't been able to find an Elizabeth DYER in Devon, either, so it looks as if I've run out of options.

Just to note that there is a thread in the Devon forum that anyone wanting to help will want to consult:

Apparently, John & Jane DYER had another daughter whom they named Elizabeth; she was baptized on 14 Nov 1731 in Fowey
