Sarah Westoby married 1840 North Frodingham to William Piickering. Marriage cert shows father as John Westoby. Census show her born Hull abt 1811/12. There is a baptism for a Sarah Westoby at Holy Trinity in 1811 with parents John and Jane. A John and Jane Westoby show up at Holy Trinity in 1841. The only marriage that I can find is for John Westoby and Jane Taylor 1801 Sculcoates but it does not jive with dob in the 1841 census. Nothing in 1851 census.
Looking for help tracing parents forward and backward.

How old are they in 1841? Ages can be somewhat vague.

John shows born 1777 - 1781 but Jane is 1787-1791.

There are other baptisms in Hull very close together with parents John and Jane - I wonder if some or all are siblings of your Sarah.

I saw them but I have no idea who her siblings were.
There are some possible deaths. John-Hull 1851 and 1858 and Jane 1853 and 1854.

The 1841 census on familysearch does not show an occupation for John. The marriage cert for Sarah is very hard to make out but may be Surveyor

John - 1851 = 74 and 1858 = 56
Jane - 1853 = 70 and 1854 = 38

1841 - image shows John to be "Ind" = of Independent means

So John death in 1851 and Jane in 1853 may be the people in 1841 census who may or may not be Sarah's parents

There is a Jane Westoby, born Barton, Lincs., widowed, no occupation, age 66 living on Upper Union Street in 1851, with son John, 49, unmarried, born Hull, and a granddaughter Sarah J age 11, born hull
