I see Mozilla Quantum, Firefox's new browser was released today, has anyone downloaded it, or even Beta tested it before today's release?
I'm always a bit wary that I'm going to lose everything I got on my current Mozilla Firefox browser.
-
Am using it.
All Bookmarks etc there.
Sure is Fast....
-
Thanks - I'll download it now.
-
Looks exactly same, apart from Reload is at side....
All my Bookmarks, AddOns still there
-
Beta tested and still using it as beta
leaner, faster better than any of the old builds
-
Just downloaded it 10minutes ago, certainly quicker on browsing.

Good for anyone who has slow WiFi

Oh no I hate it, it was slow to download and everything is s-o-o slow, my tabs, like Sky News, BBC News etc didn't open unless I re-loaded them - easy to do by clicking on a tiny little circle that just went round and round and round - and worst of all I've lost my Firefox calendar, as it's not compatible with the new Mozilla Quantum - how stupid is that and even more annoying why didn't the blurb about Mozilla Quantum state that. Fortunately, I do have all my appts etc written on a normal calendar, but I like the pop up reminders. I've uninstalled Mozilla Quantum and even done a system restore, but I can't get back to the original Mozilla and it doesn't appear to be available to download.
Looks like I'm stuck with Mozilla Quantum, or I'll just go back to IE, which is what I'm using to type this.

I've never seen a calendar in Firefox? ???
Was it an Add-on?
-
Yes, it is an Add On...
All one has to do is go Tools>Add Ons A replacement can be found from there.
-
I tried it in beta & was impressed with it, it's certainly fast, but it disabled TabMixPlus as they are not compatible. As they are the addons I won't do without, I've gone back to the old Firefox, but I will use it when these addons are updated.

You can customize almost everything to make it look the way you want. When I upgraded a couple of hours ago it copied most of my settings from the previous version so it seems hardly any different . . . except for the speed 8)
The NoScript add-on was disabled but it seems they're bringing out a new compatible version soon.

Seems just as fast as v56.0.02 but as I've a couple of add-ons that aren't yet migrated to Quantum or do not have an equivalent replacement, I've gone back to v56.0.2 in the meantime.

Well I've managed to download my "old" Mozilla, so I'm happy now, everything is as it should be.
I tried the replacement for Reminder Fox, (I mean on the add-ons on Quantum) but it didn't bring up anything.
Maybe I'll try again in a few weeks when all the problems have been ironed out.
The only problem I have now is that when I click on a Rootschat link in an e-mail, it opens in IE instead of Mozilla. I know there's a solution I just can't think of it at the moment.

Thanks Hallmark, I remembered how to do it fortunately, so now I'm a happy bunny again. I'm going to lock this topic.
