Title: Biatha Deline nee Kendall
Post by: EdCan on Thursday 16 November 17 16:25 GMT (UK)
I am having a very difficult time trying to trace Biatha prior to 1881. When Biatha died in 1928 the death death cert showed a birth abt 1852 and her parents as William and Polly. In 1881 she shows up with her husband John Deline and children living in Richmond, Lennox Co. Oldest child Laura is born abt 1875 so I expect a marriage abt 1873/74. I have looked for Biatha and her parents on familysearch and the LAC site with no luck. John Deline shows up in 1861 and 71 in Richmond, Lennox Co. I know absolutely nothing re her parents.

Mary Ann married John Mosier and her death in 1910 gave her mother's last name as Elmer.

Jessie married Elizabeth and his death as Jesse named parents William Kendall and Polly Elmer both of England

Thanks cosmac-that is great.
So Biatha shows as Bith in 1861 and Bertha in 1871. The name Jesse is probably correct because in 1881 one of Biatha son's shows as a Jessie.
The point of the exercise was to find out where daughter Laura was born. Laura marriage cert states Sheffield and the only Sheffield that I could find was no where near Lennox Co. Appears to be Sheffield Twp, Addington Co.

Much appreciated
