Hello
My great, great grandfather William Griffiths, Dyffryn Bach, Pontyberem as well as being a Sawyer/Carpenter was amazingly a druggist/chemist supplying lotions and potions to the people of Pontyberem. Quite where he acquired this knowledge/training from, nobody knows. However, he was in possession of a "A CYCLOPEDIA of DOMESTIC MEDICINE AND SURGERY" within which is a page of recipes, presumably written by William. I was wondering if anyone knew what they might be recipes for!

isn't the "For Psoraisis" a bit of a giveaway?

Now that you say it, Yes, but something I found impossible to decipher from his writing until pointed out. I presume this applies to number 1, how are your deciphering clues for number 2 and 3
Thanks

Soft Unguent.

The first ingredient in number 2 is citric acid, struggling with the writing though.

Alarmingly I think it says Nitric rather than Citric - comparing the first letter with N in No 2.

First two lines I think are Quinine and Acid Sulph(er)
