Hello,
I’m wondering if anybody could help me? I’m trying to find information on two people, first William Kirby b 1801(roughly) in Norfolk(?) and secondly Sarah Ward b 1804(roughly) in Melton, Norfolk(?). I believe they had a dau named Mary Ann Kirby who was b 1851 and she married William Reeve b 1850, Wymondham Norfolk.
Any info on the first couple would be amazing as I’m struggling to find anything on them. No info is too small :)
All the best
Molly

Hi again, the Mary Ward on the 1841 census b c 1829 could be the illegitimate daughter of Sarah, I have located a possible baptism in Norwich, and possibly Mary Anne Kirby was named in memory of the Mary Ann Ward abode Norwich who was buried 4th December 1849 Great Melton aged 20

With regards to the 1831 Marriage witnesses;

Witnesses RECCA Rose & John Kirby
William/Sarah baptised a Daug Rebecca Rose Kirby 10 June 1832
She was buried 12 Jun 1834 age 2
A JOHN Kirby married Rebecca SAMPSON, 5 December 1831 St. Nicholas', Lynn, Norfolk
Image is on Anc, a William Kirby was a Witness.
1851 John Kirby is born c 1811 Gaywood, Norfolk, under Kelly, later born 1815 Gaywood or 1811 Lynn.
From what I can see Gaywood is 1 mile E. of Lynn
So its is possible this John was Williams Brother;
JOHN Curby christened 20 Jan 1811 Melton-Magna, Norfolk
Parents MARTIN/MARY
