Drummeddat was a croft which the laird Hugh Rose developed into his house Arabella. Balintrad has a pier on the Cromarty Firth!

No not through drink, I am a Kahlua on the rocks person -not very Scottish. Fascinating though do you live in that part of the world Skoosh?

In Glasgow Bronwen but lived up there for a while & can manage the accent if refreshed enough! ;D

My grandfathetr was born in Uddingston, my father just out of London but came to NZ as a 2 year old in 1919 to NZ. I have a lot of family history in Ross & Cromarty, Glasgow and environs and a little in Edinburgh on my grandfather's side. My father was passionate about everything Scots. He followed Scottish poetry (wrote a book in Lallans himself - he was a writer amongst other things) new the history, the poets the artists etc.
