Hi
I have been researching some Wills on the Canterbury Probate Records database and hope someone can help me with clarifying what the references to the inventories refer to.
Wills proved in the Archdeaconry Court of Canterbury have the following references:
PRC/16 refer to original Wills
PRC/17 refer to the Registered Copies of these Wills
Wills proved in the Consistitory Court have these references:
PRC/31 - referring to the original Wills
PRC/32 - referring to the Registered Copies.
What confuses me though are the references to the Inventories. Inventories in the Archdeaconry Court have these references, PRC/10 or PRC/11. I am not sure if PRC/10 refers to the originals and PRC/11 refer to the Registered Copies although that is how it looks. If that's the case then I guess PRC/31 refer to the originals and PRC/32 refer to the registered copies in the CCC.
Can anyone confirm my theory?
