Hi.
I recently asked for help about finding my auntie.who is the half sister of my mum.
She hasn't been reported missing. I just want to know where she is so I can tell her about her half sister. Patricia. Who is my mum. And also I would like to contact her.
At the time I only knew her birth name. But now with a bit of help I know a bit more information which I never knew.
Her birth name is. Removed owens. Born 21st December 1944. Her mother and fathers name is.eveline owens. And James owens. Her mum was married before to my grandad Alfred evan Jones. And her mum's maiden name was shulman.
My auntie married to Removed Steven in 1962. In the Stirling area.
If anyone can help me by Eaither letting me know where she is living now. Or letting her know that I am trying to find her. I would appreciate it. I am the eldest daughter of my mum and dads children..
If she has been found please let me know. Even if to say if she is still living or not. As I haven't seen her since I was around 10 / 12 years old. My mum lost contact with her after that and wondered where she is.
Thank you again for your help. I really do appreciate everyone's help on all my family members search.

Hi
The problem is that this person could still be alive and Rootschat policy is that living people aren't named. You may find that a Mod removes her name.
Have you tried social media such as Facebook to see if she is on there?

The National Archive offers guidance on tracing living people, which might give you some leads:

Do you know if she had any children?
Have you looked on 192.com for them - possible living in Hamilton until 2009.

Hi Dorothy
We have a 'no living people' policy here so some names have been removed.
Our guidelines for posting in your first post include links to topics which you might find helpful.

There is little evidence to suggest your auntie has left Scotland so I did a death search on Scotlands People but there were no matches.
Her husband may have died in 2016.

chempat has posted a suggestion that they might be in the Hamilton area.
You need credits to view 192.com but if you have a subscription or credits with Find My Past you can also find this possible address there as well.
I also found her initial only and surname at the same address in Hamilton at www.bt.com
http://www.rootschat.com/links/01l4d/
it's the 2nd entry.
Now everyone here would suggest you don't phone her as she may not know of your mother's existence but a carefully worded letter is the way to go forward.
Bear in mind also that this may not be the correct person. The surname you have for her now is not unique.
If this isn't the correct lady you will need to start the search process again.

I guess that your aunt does know about you and your mother as you have said you lost touch when you were about 10 years old, however, I agree with Dawn, a letter is much better than a phone call. That will give her time to think about what she wants to do. This is perhaps the ideal time of year as you could sent a Christmas card and include a note and a stamped addressed envelope inside it. It might also be a good idea to ask if they will reply if it is the wrong person.
Good luck.
