Susan Freeman was born at Uxbridge in 1839 and baptised at St Mary's, third child of William and Margaret. In the 1961 census she was an 'attendant in wards' at Middlesex County Asylum, Colney Hatch -several of her wider family were in similar occupations.
In the 1871 census her mother Margaret [Margt] was at Kings Road, Islington, with a daughter Susan, but the daughter was entered as surname Rhoades, as married, occupation 'insanity attendant', which seems to make it clear that this is the same person.
I have found no marriage for Susan, with Rhoades or Rhodes, and cannot find her under either surname in 1881, or in death records.
Can any kind person suggest a solution?

Marriage in Bermondsey, May 17 1869
James Rhoades married a widow Susan Harvey, her father shown as George Freeman deceased. One of the witnesses was William Westbrook Freeman - - is that Susan's brother?
-
Susan Freeman (father William) married Henry Harvey at Chepping Wycombe, 11 April 1858.
