Title: Sumpter family possibly Shinfield area

Hi

i am trying to trace this family in the 18th century, there is a Benjamin Sumpter born Shinfield in 1738 and I am trying to trace his marriage and a possible child Benjamin born c1771. Any help would be much appreciated.

The Berkshire Marriage Index shows a wedding in 1763 between Benjamin Sumpter and ?. Does anyone have more information?

According to my CD, the marriage was in Shinfield in 1763 - no exact date given - between Benjamin Sumpter and Elizabeth Sumpter. Not much help! Possibly a cousin?
