The baptism is on the IGI at www.familysearch.org, which is always the first place you should look.

The marriage to which you refer is also on the IGI, but in 1659, so Sarah may not be the mother of Martha

Hi B B

I found the entry but it has no date other than 1652 and the parents are shown as Thomas and Sarah, but Thomas Howling and Sarah Knight did not marry until 1659 and she is shown as dying in 1654 so I have quite a mystery to try and solve.

Kind Regards

David

Perhaps Thomas was previously married to another Sarah? If so, she could be the one that died in 1654?

Hi Giggsy

I have been trying to sort out the mystery for some years, unfortunately thi period is covered by the years of the Commonwealth with Oliver Cromwell and I know some records were lost.

Kind Regards

David :D
