Presumably you have already looked at the website for Families in British India.
https://www.fibis.org/

If you have not used this site before you need to scroll down on the Homepage to see what is available.

Find My Past has records of India. Though obviously not certificates.

FindMyPast hosts transcriptions of the records held at the British Library at St Pancras in the British India Office.

If you have searched and found the records you need, you can apply to the British Library for copies which were £18 per certificate the last time I needed one.

If you have searched FindMyPast (and familysearch) and there are no search results, then to all intents and purposes, the records if they survive are still in India.

Who are you looking for?

If you can get to the British Library at St Pancras, you can get copies of the entries from the microfilms there.

You'll need a readers ticket to get into the reading room.
