Thank you for your help.
Sarah was born Sarah Winwood in Hallow Worchestershire England 1804 and died as Sarah Davies in Australia 1896.
Sarah married a Edward Davies at Abergavenny Mommouthshire in 1848. Edward was born 1821 in Pontypool Wales 1821.
I have Sarah arriving in Australia with all children except Edwin the oldest child and her new husband.?
William Patrick Hayes died in Wales 1844 he was 53
I have no more information on William.

William Haynes
Sarah Wynard
Marriage 09 May 1824
Trevethin, Monmouthshire
Both of the parish
What document shows Williams middle name as Patrick :-\
Where do you get the information that Edward Davies was born 1821 Pontypool, do you have him on census

Hi Rosie99
The information i have on my fathers mother side of our family comes from information passed down from family members here in Australia.
From her marriage certificate Louisa was illiterate and marked her name with a cross. Her maiden name was spelt (Haines). Her mothers maiden name was spelt Winwood.
The marriage date of Sarah Winwood and william Haines (Haynes) is the same date you have.
All children from that marriage is correct with names and ages.
On Sarah's grave stone here in Australia her surname name is spelt Davies (Winwood).
The information I have on Sarah's second husband Edward Davies comes from a MyHeritage site.
It seems because the family was illitrate those persons writing down information on the family wrote it as it was spoken.
Now you propose Sarah's maiden name is spelt Wynard ?
-
Hi Rosie99
Looking at Louisa's death certificate I notice her fathers name is spelt William Haynes and mother spelt Sarah Winifred Unknown. and on her marriage certificate her fathers name is spelt William Haines and mother Sarah Davies nee Winwood. ?
-
The people writing the names were the Registrars, vicars, priests, etc.
Variations in spelling were very common; in part due to differences in accents?
Spelling simply wasn't important back then! :D
-
The marriage certificate shows William Haynes (no middle name) he signed as William Haines
Sarah was Sarah Wynard but as she was unable to write the spelling of her surname can't be confirmed, she marked with a x and the clergy spelt it the same as they had earlier.
1851 census
Edward Davis age 30 occupation Sawyer born Clytha, Monmouthshire
Sarah Davis age 45 bn ...ble, Worcestershire
Philip Haines 16
Louaza Haines 12
William Haines 10
Children bn Trevethin, Monmouthshire
I cannot see a death for William in 1844, perhaps it is this one.
HAINES, WILLIAM age 50
1843 Sept Quarter
PONTYPOOL Volume 26 Page 74
It is not unusual for ages at death to be wrong, it is 'informant driven' and no proof of his age would have been needed
-
Death for Edwin :-\
HAYNES, EDWIN age 18
1844 June Quarter

It certainly is like a jigsaw Jim. :)
I think Sarah's place of birth on census was meant to be Mamble
Sarah Winwood
Baptism 21 May 1804
Mamble, Worcestershire
Father George Winwood
Mother Mary
Hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas

Hi Rosie99
Looking at Louisa's death certificate I notice her fathers name is spelt William Haynes and mother spelt Sarah Winifred Unknown. and on her marriage certificate her fathers name is spelt William Haines and mother Sarah Davies nee Winwood. ?
I am wondering whether the informant got muddled with Sarah's names and what they thought was Winifred was actually Winwood :-\ It is very close.

Other baptisms in Mamble to parents George & Mary
04 Jan 1801 - John
30 Jan 1803 - Eleanor
06 Jul 1806 - Benjamin - (burial 16 Oct 1831 age 25)
05 May 1811 - George
I wish William Haines/Haynes was as easy to find
