Any news about the IOM.com message board and Manx Note Book? Both are not available at the moment.

I can get into Manxnotebook OK (Just tried it ;D)

But the forum seems to have disappeared?
I can get into www.isleofman.com OK.
I can also get into www.isleofman.com/genealogy OK.

But there is no longer any link to the forum on that page?

I heard a rumour yesterday regarding potential problems locally, but as I can't substantiate this rumour I won't mention it (yet!).

I have heard that Manx Telecom (Isle-of-Man.com is one of their sites) are, or have been, having problems with "spamming"?

Nothing on local news websites, so I have asked a journalist friend.
If I hear anything, I'll post it here.

as the 'editor' of Manxnotebook I am completely in the dark as to why it is suspended -
 I have had no explanation from Manx Telecom  though they have it seems told a couple of enquirers 'they are working on it'
but the site and every thing else connected with Isle-of-man.com was taken down on Tuesday 2 Jan without any prior notice

The MNB site and the message board were restored late this afternoon 9 Jan 2018
 - I don't know why it was taken down but let's give some thanks to Manx Telecom for restoring it and lets hope for another 20 years of operation
