Post by: rodhill on Sunday 07 January 18 09:18 GMT (UK)
Hi Happy new year to  all
I am trying to find a birth/baptism of a Bridget PHELAN about 1800, and a John COUGHLAN
I known they married a John Cochlin/Coughlan and many other spellings in 13 Nov 1825 Powerstown and the had the following children all Baptised Powerstown
John 1824
David 1827
Mary Ann 1829
Maria 1829
Margaret 1831
James 1834  (all from the Nli site)

Is there any census style records that could give me more information like occupations
many thanks for any information at all and would be most appreciated
Rod

Surviving census fragments and substitutes for 1821-51 are a valuable, if limited, resource for the pre-Famine period....
