Can anyone give me an idea as to the name on this certificate of John Manson's wife? Thanks.

I can't easily see a Scottish marriage for them either so far :-\
John shows as a tenant at 21 Kinnaird Street from at least the mid 1920s, with an Alexander Manson as proprietor.
What age was John when he died? He showed as still married at that time. Can't easily see a corresponding death for a *el*en Rosie/Manson after 1946 so far either... There is a Ross/Manson death in Glasgow in 1957 but that is it so far...

Did they have children? If so the children's birth entries should specify (if appropriate) the details of the parents' marriage.
It might have been a pre-1939 Scots irregular marriage though, in which case it may not be recorded.

John died in 1946. I am unaware of any children so far. Still digging away, thank you.

Looking at the index, he was 66 when he died so born c. 1880? Do you know who the Alexander was who showed as proprietor of where John was living?

Alexander was his dad but he died in 1942.

Who was the informant on John's death reg?

A marriage between a John Manson and an Ellen Leith in 1906 Wick ref 043/ 80
I think Ellen died in Inverness in Inverness in 1965, aged 85. Showing as Helen Leith/Manson ref 098/A 450

If you search on SP for deaths of MANSON with mother's maiden name of LEITH, you will see deaths for 5 women between 1980 - 2004, potentially daughters to John and Ellen..tbc.
