Do you have a copy of the registration - either official transcription or real deal certificate?  It is on open access.

Why do you think there would necessarily be a newspaper notice?
Is there some information about the couple you are trying to find?

Not sure there would be a wedding notice, but many times there are...interested in family names, in particular the groomes,

Thank you

Given your marriage location, a newspaper for the Young district looks to be the most likely option for a marriage notice, description. Unfortunately the trove papers for Young only go to 1940.  I had family from that area of NSW and the Young paper contained many stories about the family.

Later copies of the paper (if they exist) would be available at the NLA or the NSW State library. You could also try the Young Family history group

Edit: I should have looked closer at trove. There are a couple of Murrumburrah papers on there
Murrumburrah Signal and County of Harden Advocate (NSW : 1881 - 1947)
The last date is January 9 1947 - but I can't see mention of the marriage there.
The Harden Murrumburrah Express took over from the previous paper in 1947, it doesn't appear to be on Trove.

My experience with local papers is that they would only put a notice in if they had a strong ongoing connection to the area, such as one or both parties were born or raised there or came from a family connected to the area. If they were only recently to the area (such as for work), they probably wouldn't use the local paper, but (if they were inclined to have a notice, which can't be assumed) might use a capital city paper, particularly in the post-WW2 era.

Maybe try this?

Have you considered contacting the local public library?  They may have current contact details for the local family history group.  I recall, perhaps ten years ago or more, visiting a museum in the main street of Harden that was open on weekends, with volunteers undertaking research for a nominal fee.
