I've been putting off researching my Irish ancestors but the time has come ...
I have Ann REID born c1839 who travelled to Australia in 1863, leaving from Liverpool on the Wansfell. She married Thomas Mortimer WALTERS (who was also on the voyage) on 28 May 1864 at the Presbyterian Manse in Rockhampton, Queensland. On their marriage certificate it says she was born in Monaghan, her father was William REID (gamekeeper) and mother Mary ANDERSON.
I realise spelling can be quite variable and I"m assuming since they married in a Presbyterian church the family were Presbyterian.
Any help in locating the family would be most appreciated.

The Presbyterian Historical Society (PBS) in Belfast should have a list of all the Presbyterian churches in Monaghan and the years that their records cover. The records themselves aren’t on-line so far as I am aware, so you would need to get a researcher to look them up either in the PBS or PRONI (the public record office) in Belfast.
