Title: Can’t find birth of Isobel Macdonald born 16 Nov 1914 died Dec 1986 London

I have some credits to Scotland’s people but can’t find her  birth. Not 100% of where she was born. Can anyone help please.

Poster mentions having credits for SP which made me wonder about Kilkenny

Marriage is on freebmd in 1938 so buying a copy of the marriage cert will give her fathers name

There are 39 births for an Is*b*l* M(a)cDonald in Scotland - see www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk. No Isobels but at that time names remained more fluid.

Did she marry? In England? You are going to need as many details as possible to try to find her details and family in Scotland for sure...

Place of birth, if known to the informant, were introduced on English death certs but I am not sure from what year  :-\

PS: You have posted on the Argyll board. Is this a hopefull guess  ::) or do you think she was from there for some reason? There is only one birth in Argyleshire for an  Is*b*l* M(a)cDonald.

Thanks, ev  :) The actual death cert may well help then in respect of where in Scotland she was born if known to the informant.

Isobel Macdonald born 16th Nov 1914 Moray
Married John Williamson Hutchison 4thJune 1938 St Columbus Church Church of Scotland.
Died 1986 Tower Hamlets London.

I need Isobel’s mothers name in order to go back on her side. I already have her marriage certificate but can’t find her birth in order to send for it. Any help would be so much appreciated thank you . Pincard.

There are 4 Isobel Macdonalds b. 1914 in Morayshire - 2 with other first names as well and 2 just Isobel.

Do you have any idea of the place in Moray in which she was born ?
