Can anyone find any further info about a Walter Leslie Jones(1913-1985).Born and died in the Wrexham Area.Apparently he was the son of a Thomas Jones and a Margaret A Wightman who were married in what is given as Wrexham Civil Marriage in 1911.They married later than the 11911 Census where Margaret is given as born in Manchester in c 1881.
Walter Leslie was apparently an Acting Wing Commander in the RAF,when it is posted in the London Gazzette that he was awarded the DFC.His service number is given as 43188.
Regards
William Russell Jones.

There is a Daily Post article from July 1943 re the DFC award, which,as well as having a photo, details his parents address and references an older and a younger brother, together with some minor biographical details. It can be seen on FindMyPast.

Can't find a suitable marriage but it might be just a civil/non-c one . If you find any possibles on the NW BMD, give a shout :)

In 1901, they’re at RG13/5213/48/20
Thomas still with them.
-
Looking further back the Susannah could be significant.
