Hello. I am working on a pamphlet about the Battle of Stockton on 10th September 1933. A group of us are trying to get some kind of commemoration organised. I would love to talk to anyone who knew some of the people involved. In particular, personal or family stories would really help to bring the event alive for a new generation. Thanks

Hello,
The original post was mine, made years ago. It was my suggestion that a new post on this topic might bring some new responses and get through to people who have direct links to the event.

I think the duplication was my fault. I'm new to this forum and was trying to work out how post!

Not at all, it was what I was suggesting to you. But maybe it would be a good idea to edit your title a little so that people know that you're not just repeating my original post. And perhaps a bit more of an explanation as to what the Battle of Stockton was. It is such an unknown piece of history that most people wouldn't even realise it happened or that their grandparents might have been involved.

It's very good sometimes to bring topics back up to the surface. AND it looks as though it is all in the good cause. It certainly made me look into it - having had no knowledge of it previously.
Good luck to all of you :) :)
